Amanita Muscaria![]() Amanita Muscaria, known as the “Fly Agaric,” or “Fly Amanita,” is native throughout certain regions of the Northern Hemisphere, though it has been introduced unintentionally to some countries in the Southern Hemisphere. They are best known for their distinctive (and beautiful) appearance (bright reds and yellows with white spots). The history of this beautiful mushroom is commonly associated with Shamanic, and ceremonial, and magical practices. Of course, these days it is famous for it’s hallucinogenic properties, and is considered a deliriant and psychedelic. This species is poisonous, and is considered a psychoactive basidiomycete fungus, containing the compound muscimol. Amanita Muscaria is suspected to be humanity's oldest entheogen. It was known to be a religious significance in Siberia, and used as an intoxicant all over the world.
